Trainees/Interns

Amy Kelm is a counseling intern serving students at Miami University in our Oxford, Ohio office and our Cincinnati office. She received her undergraduate degree in music with a minor in psychology from Northern Kentucky University. Currently Amy is pursuing her Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University.

Kayla Allen worked as a psychology intern in the summer of 2016. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a cognate in Christian Counseling from Liberty University.

Mary Study was a psychology Intern for the summer of 2014. She is currently a student at Indiana State University working on a Bachelor in the Science of Psychology with a minor in Public Health.

Tim Reid, MA, who completed his Master’s degree at Liberty University served as an intern with Growthspirit for a year from 2013-2014 in our Oxford office serving students at Miami University of Ohio. Tim has now returned to M.orroco to continue his work in support of missionaries in the Africa and Spain region.

Formation for Seminarians/Ministers. Over the last 20 years Dr. Boyd has worked with seminarians (Mt. Saint Mary Seminary of the West) in formational growth counseling and/or spiritual direction. Dr Boyd has worked with ministers in formation at Payne Theological Seminary for specific formation pastoral counseling, internships, and ongoing supervision.

GrowthSpirit has served as an internship site for students of Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy. Previous interns from University of Toldeo, University of Cincinnati, Payne Theological Seminary, Union Institute and University, Athenaeum of Ohio (Mount St. Mary’s Seminary), Liberty University, and Indiana State University have completed clinical training under supervision of Dr. Stephen Boyd.
